AIMS & OBJECTIVES
- It is established in 2010, and has well equipped undergraduate laboratory. This laboratory is well equipped with instruments like spectrophotometer, laminar air flow (advanced) and necessary basic instruments like autoclaves, incubators, ovens, colorimeters, pH meters, water distillation system etc. Fire safety and first aid facilities are also made available in the laboratory. The department is continuously engaged in regular teaching activities, along with ICT supported tools. The department also thinking to provide facility of departmental library, to create a strong alumni network which support placement of students and trying to organize National conference, Poster competitions, Science exhibitions in upcoming time to inculcate research and competitive culture amongst the students.
- To available skilled manpower with a strong background in various areas of Botany through continuous assessment of the students.
- To train the students to acquire the Botanical knowledge and techniques necessary for industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Breweries, Food and Forestry’s, Agricultural and Research Institutes etc.
- To evaluate learner continuously.
- To develop practical skills amongst the students.
- To motivate research attitude and activity.
- To create kin interest in plants.
