AIMS & OBJECTIVES
English Department has been established in 1998.The motto of this department is the humanization of the world. We develop a linguistic skill with inculcating human values among students. The department continuously engaged in regular teaching activities. The department is thinking to provide teaching facilities such as departmental library, language laboratory to create interest regarding English language and literature. We are trying to organize National Conference, Poster Competition, literary exhibition in upcoming time to inculcate competitive spirit among the students. Over over-riding aim is to ensure that each student, whatever their ability, should reach their potential. Developing their English and Literacy Skill is of course fundamental to unlocking their potential across the academic curriculum. The English department has been tuned with the following Aims & objectives.

  • To ensure students leave school with strategies in place to cope with their literacy problems in the wider world.
  • To encourage an enjoyment of reading and critical understanding of what is read.
  • To encourage thoughtful and sensitive writing and listening.
  • To promote the basic literacy of each student, with decoding, reading and speaking priority
  • To promote a good working vocabulary of common words.
  • To enhance students’ knowledge of language and how it has developed.
  • To develop within their capabilities legible handwriting in which the student can take pride.
  • To stretch and challenge intellect while also attempting to moderate weaknesses in respective and expressive language problems to overcome these difficulties.
  • To enable to communicate thoughts, opinions and ideas which may have been buried or trapped because of literacy breakdown, lack of confidence or blocked opportunities.
  • To engage students and give them an opportunity to express their own personalities, their own interests and enthusiasms in part of the course, for example using a hobby as the basis for speech exams or choices of reading material.
  • To engage extra classes to teach English grammar and basic structure of sentences so that students will be benefited.
