AIMS & OBJECTIVES
Department of Microbiology Established in 2010, with well equipped undergraduate laboratory. The basic needs required for Microbiology has been supported by Laboratory. This laboratory is well equipped with instruments like Visible spectrophotometer, Laminar air flow (advanced) and necessary basic instruments like autoclaves, Bacteriological incubators, Hot air ovens, Digital colorimeters, pH meters, Membrane filtration assembly, Electronic weight balances, Deep Freezer, Water distillation system etc.
Fire safety and first aid facilities are also made available in the laboratory. Department having separate preparation room as well as practical conducting room with Individual class rooms for each year students.The department is continuously engaged in regular teaching activities, along with ICT supported tools. The department is thinking to provide facility of departmental library for students and create a strong alumni network which support placement of students. We are trying to organize National conferences, Poster competitions, Science exhibitions in upcoming time to inculcate research and competitive culture amongst the faculty and students.

• To develop skilled youth with a strong platform in diverse areas of microbiology through continuous assessment of the students.
• To prepare the students to acquire the microbiological knowledge and techniques necessary for industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Breweries, Food and Dairy product processing and preservation, Water works, agricultural and Research Institutes.
• To train students, where appropriate to acquire the knowledge necessary for social hygiene (healthcare) and to monitor environmental pollution. To assess the students continuously.
• To develop practical skills amongst the students.
• To motivate research activity and social responsibility/work
